Summer Hair Trends with Jet Rhys

Summer haircuts, along with daring colors and styles that range from boho to chic, are off the charts, and celebs are leading the way with daring do’s that say c’est la vie to lackluster locks.

To get the scoop on what’s in for the warmer months I asked my friend Jet Rhys of Jet Rhys Hair to fill me in on what is new and now in the hair world.  I started by asking about Kaley  Cuoco Sweeting‘s new even shorter cut, which Jet said is already in demand at her California salons, “Our clients are calling wanting it, it’s the SHORT version of the beachy waves! I absolutely love the playfulness of this cut, the back hairline is cut precisely, but the sides and top area are cut in twisted sections. This removes some bulk, but is intended to keep the layers long. The outside edges are thinned perfectly, Rhys explains, this is what gives the MOD look to her style .” Rhys says this style is one where you can easily ditch your blow dryer for summer ~ a little mousse, cocktailed with some styling balm gives the separation just where it’s needed. Perfect for the low maintenance babe on the go!

In color news, Rhys shares, “We are seeing women from all walks of life wanting to have their colored. Because Katy Perry has green through her hair, this color is very popular. We’re also seeing swirls of sherbert shades, combining creamsicle colors: blondes mixed in with peaches and baby pink laced with vanilla blonde is high in demand for this season.”

From what I see, braids, milkmaid, fishtail, headband and every other incarnation, continue to turn heads both on the street and on red carpets the world over. Messy updo’s with face framing tendrils and loose side ponytails are as popular with ladies who lunch as they are with female CEO’s. As long as you keep your hair as healthy as possible, with quality products and regular trims and touchup’s, you can rock a head of hair that you can always be proud of and enjoy.
Stay Beautiful!
